Homeschooling  has been a huge part of our family for a long time.  When we were first  introduced to homeschooling, we were unsure about it.  There was all  those standard issues that we all have heard about - was it legal -  could we do it - what about socialization - aren’t all homeschoolers weird?

I’m sure you’re laughing right now - just like I am - at all these ridiculous concerns we had. Homeschooling can be the best thing that has ever  happened to your family.

When we  first started homeschooling, there was a lot of magazines out there.  They were wonderful, however, Julie noticed that some of them really made her feel like she would never be perfect enough or good enough in  her schooling.  That’s why she started writing for the homeschooling  Mom. She wanted to encourage Moms out there but also to help them to remember to keep the focus the focus.  For our family, the focus is on Jesus Christ.

Yes, we  learned. Our children excelled - far more than they ever had in their public or charter schools. After all, it’s is home schooling! However, because we were homeschooling, we could do our Bible studies and character studies that we saw sorely lacking in the public system. We wanted our children not only to learn their ABC’s we wanted them to  learn morals based on the Word of God.
